Appointments
The team are committed to providing the highest standard of patient health care. Appointments can be booked by telephone from 08:00 a.m, Monday to Friday. The trained call handler will ask you to explain the need for your appointment and will arrange for you to be seen by the most appropriate clinician.
Booking an Appointment
Appointments can be made over the telephone by dialling 01492 550969.
The receptionist will ask you to explain the reason for your appointment request so that they may book you in with the most appropriate healthcare professional.
Our receptionists are trained in signposting so will regularly offer advice based on the symptoms you give.
Telephone Triage & Video Consultation
Once a request for an appointment has been received, you will be placed on a list for a telephone call. Your phone call will be returned by a General Practitioner, Practice Nurse, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, or Physiotherapist. This is determined based on the symptoms you are experiencing.
A large number of consultations can be done over the phone, which reduces the need to visit the surgery. If required, the clinician may initiate a video consultation which requires you to use your mobile phone and camera.
Whilst we attempt to deal with as many patients on the day you call, it may be necessary to book a telephone consultation at a future date.
Face to Face
Following telephone or video consultation, the clinician may decide that a face to face appointment is required. You will be given a time to come down to the surgery. If you drive, you will be asked to call the surgery on arrival to the car park and will be asked to remain within your car in the car park. Once the clinican is ready for you, you will be asked to come in to the surgery and directly into the clinic room.
If you do not drive, you must ring the surgery intercom and will be instructed to sit in the waiting room, whilst observing social distancing rules.
A face to face appointment will not be booked without a telephone consultation.
